So booring its embarrasing?

I’m taking a class over GMU and as part of it we had to analyze a clip from a movie…I was hosting that clip on my server and as chance would have it they made it to this very blog. During one of our meetings one of my classmates mentioned they had seen my blog and the strange thing was that the first thought that came to mind was, man they must think I’m soooo friggin’ booring.

Oh well, as they love to say at work, it is what it is…I’ll try and be less booring.

So much for this being a journal

Man, even with this being at the tips of my fingers I’m still sucking it up.

Anyway, its been an eventful month with Jasmine’s job really ramping up and my job finally really hitting its stride with the new building opening up. So far we’ve had two large and successful meetings and more are in the pipe.

On a personal note we’ve been doing a lot with the neighborhood between happy hours and Brambletonian ‘anniversary’ parties…Last night we had around 30 people from the ward over for pulled pork and grilled chicken. Was a very cool evening.

An uneventful week…

Both our jobs are getting busier by the minute. Jasmine doing what she does, I don’t really know, don’t really ask. Its accounting stuff, its complicated, and she likes it.
My job is ramping up with the first executive meeting this week. I’ll be having some training on Tue for the Yamaha sound board we’ll be using.

The family has captured the web cam bug. Melissa, Adam and Mom n Dad all have ’em up and running. Now we’re working on figuring out how to get us all together in a single call.  So far the only glitch is that dad’s cobbled internet access isn’t very video friendly.

Friday we went to a neighborhood happy hour at Fisk and Hound (or something like that). It was a good time, becca picked a fight with the manager and got her freak on with Cheez. Can’t ask for more than that. 🙂

Man is it HOT!!

Even at 9:00 at night its 90 degrees and 60% humidity. Needless to say, we are all grateful for A/C.

On an international front, things in the middle east continue to escalate…I hate to say it, but I wish we could just evac everyone and make the area glow for a 1000 years….That’d give us peace for a little bit. 😦

Some Like it Hot

So last night at Mandy and Tracie’s the topic of ‘how cool (or hot) do you keep your house’ came up.I didn’t think we were that out of the norm, but apparently 77/78 is hot. The odd thing, we don’t feel like we’re suffering or leaving the temperature unduly warm. We leave it at 78, and if we want to cool off we drop it down to 77. Guess its all a matter of what you’re accustomed to.

Friday Night Fiesta

We went over to Tracie and Mandy’s last night for Tracie’s b-day party, had some sushi, had some drinks, talk to some friends…Oh yeah, and worked the ladies over on a couple boys v girls game…No news there…They always lose. 😉

The Melting Pot

We met a bunch of neighbors (fellow brambletonian.net members) after work for a meal at ye olde Melting Pot. The evening started with the receptionist sending us to the waiting area because our party hadn’t checked in and our party being sent to the bar while waiting for us. ‘tards!

Once we got seated Martha got three glasses dropped in her lap and we all have a jovial time trying to figure out what kind of underwear she is wearing under that now transparent white skirt. haha…

You’d think they would have given her a free meal or something for ruining her evening, but no dice. She’s going to call back tonight and gripe. Hopefully they’ll give her $$, but I’ve got a feeling they’re just going to give her a GC. Thumbs down on the melting pot. Wasn’t even all that good either. Not bad, just not worth $80.
